Global Trade: Insights on Tariff Rates & Non-Tariff Measures

This module helps in analysis of the tariff structures and non-tariff barriers on trade of more than 100 exporting or importing countries such as United States of America, United Kingdom, Italy, France, Spain, Germany, Netherlands, China, India, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Turkey, Brazil, and others. It includes data for all HS codes under fibres, yarns, fabrics, raw leathers, garments, footwear, leather and apparel fashion accessories, and home textiles categories.

This module provides parameters such as current Import duty applicable, announced MFN tariff, non-tariff barriers applicable currently, number of trade agreements, estimated port, landing taxes applicable and mean average shipping distance for each partnering country. These parameters can also be arranged in ascending and descending orders to identify countries with lowest and highest indicators.

In Trade Agreements module user can find free trade agreements involving key countries. With a database of over 300 trade agreement documents, users can filter as per requirement and download the same as well. The users can also drop a request to the analyst team using the "Request for Summary" options for preparing executive summaries of the agreements selected by them as per their selected line of business. The same will be shared within 5 to 7 working days.

The average import duty for T-shirts in USA is 16.5%, whereas imports from Mauritius are duty free owing to its Generalized System of Preferences (GSP) status. The estimated port landing taxes after import duty are estimated to be 11.7%. There are no free trade agreements signed between USA and Estonia, Mauritius, Sri Lanka, and Thailand. These countries have signed a Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT) agreement with USA.
