House of Fett started with a very simple idea at its core, which was to dress the modern Indian women in a unique and contemporary outlook. Since launching its first store in 2017, the brand has been striving to grow leaps and bounds to be available for everyone, everywhere and every time. In an interview with Fibre2Fashion, Co-founder & Creative Director Esha Bhambri talks about sustainability, fashion trends, influencers, and more.

How do you see the role of technology evolving within the fashion industry, and what are some emerging trends or innovations that you find particularly interesting?

I believe technology is revolutionising the fashion industry by enabling digital design and prototyping, promoting sustainable manufacturing practices, and introducing smart fabrics and wearable tech. These advancements improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance the overall consumer experience, shaping the future of fashion.
 

With the growing focus on sustainability and ethical practices, how do you think the fashion industry can effectively address and reduce its environmental impact?

As a fashion brand owner, I am deeply committed to addressing and reducing the environmental impact of the industry. In order to achieve this, I believe it is essential for the entire supply chain to embrace sustainability and ethical practices. From utilising eco-friendly materials to implementing efficient production processes, and promoting recycling and upcycling, there are numerous steps we can take. Additionally, we must prioritise fair labour practices and educate consumers on the importance of conscious consumption. By fostering collaboration among industry stakeholders and leveraging technological advancements, we can pave the way for a more sustainable future in fashion.

How do you navigate the balance between fast fashion and the increasing demand for slow, sustainable fashion? What strategies does your brand employ to meet this challenge?

At my brand, we approach this challenge by focusing on quality craftsmanship and timeless designs that transcend trends. By offering versatile and durable pieces that stand the test of time, we aim to satisfy the desire for sustainable fashion while providing an alternative to the fast fashion culture of disposability.

In an era of social media and influencer marketing, how do you leverage digital platforms to engage with customers and build brand loyalty?

In today’s era of social media and influencer marketing, leveraging digital platforms is crucial for engaging with customers and building brand loyalty. At House of Fett, we utilise social media to connect with our audience by sharing behind-the-scenes content, showcasing our latest collections, and providing styling inspiration. We collaborate with influencers who align with our brand values to create authentic and relatable content that resonates with our target audience. By actively engaging with our followers through comments, direct messages, and interactive campaigns, we foster a sense of community and build lasting relationships, ultimately cultivating brand loyalty in the digital landscape.

How do you stay ahead of ever-changing consumer preferences and trends in the fashion industry? What strategies do you employ to ensure your brand remains relevant and appealing to your target audience?

What inspired you to start House of Fett and create a dedicated website for your brand?

House of Fett was inspired by my passion for fashion and the desire to create a unique brand that celebrates individuality and self-expression. I wanted to provide a platform where customers can explore a curated selection of fashion-forward pieces that embody style and quality. Creating a dedicated website for the brand allows us to showcase our collections, share our brand story, and provide a seamless shopping experience for our customers. It also enables us to reach a global audience and connect with fashion enthusiasts around the world who resonate with our vision.

Can you tell us about the story behind the name ‘House of Fett’ and its significance to your brand?

The brand derives its name from a German word ‘Fett’, which meaning bold and confident. This name truly encapsulates our brand essence, as we focus on crafting products that embody boldness with a hint of minimalism.

What sets House of Fett apart from other fashion brands in terms of design, style, and overall vision?

We carefully choose fabrics that are not only luxurious and visually appealing but also eco-friendly and ethically produced. We consider factors such as the environmental impact, durability, and comfort of the fabrics, and strive to work with suppliers who share our commitment to responsible sourcing and production. By selecting materials with care, we ensure that our products embody the highest standards of both style and sustainability.
