It had earlier announced plans to invest $11 billion in cloud infrastructure in India by 2030, supporting an estimated average of 1.31 lakh jobs in Indian business each year.

"So we are very much looking forward to future of partnering," Jassy said.

The meeting discussed how Amazon can support start-ups, create jobs, enable exports and empower individuals, he said in a tweet.
